Next on the agenda was the BEACH.
We chose Samara on the Nicoya peninsula, in the Guanacaste region. It turned out to be fabulous.

It was a crescent of sand surrounded by swaying palms. You get the idea...
We all were out on the boogie boards (here's Abbey in the afternoon when the clouds had moved in)...

Turns out Samara Beach is a destination for surf lessons, because of the predictable medium-sized waves. Abbey and Lee both took lessons and got in some good rides!
On the final day we all viewed the beach from the back of a horse...what a great way to end the trip to the beach...
